This morning I went for a mid morning hike along the St. Croix River. It was refreshing. I wish I got into hiking (especially in the winter) a long time ago. So fun to see the fresh snow on the trail and in the trees. The stark contrasts from the pure white of the new snow to the pitch black of the icy waters of the St. Croix on the stretches were the swift current keeps it open from ice.
I also wish I brought my camera on this trek. Not to mention the beautiful landscapes I could of caprtured images of, I had some nice photo opportunities for deer, grouse and bald eagle.
Oh well, it was nice to be outside all the same.
